Week 1 Highlights

Welcome back, everyone!

I trust that all of you had a restful and virus-free extended holiday! In order to minimize students' movement in between classrooms to contain the virus, all English teachers had to teach in their students' Chinese classrooms this week. For this reason, I only got to teach my 402A students whereas Mr. Enoc, the other fourth grade teacher taught my 403R students and here's what happened within this short week.

  • I passed out new communication books to all students.
  • The students turned in their winter vacation homework.
  • The students shared about their winter vacation even though the majority stayed home in order to stay safe.
  • I educated the students about COVID-19. You may review the terms of COVID-19 again here.
  • I reviewed Lesson 16 Vocabulary and Journeys before they took their spelling quiz on Thursday.
It gives me abundant joy to be back at school with the students. It was definitely getting a little bit too quiet and lonely without them. I was also impressed with the students' knowledge of COVID-19. Continue to stay informed!

I have also included our e-printouts for next week below. Please note that students will no longer be gluing their printouts into the Communication Books because I will be posting them on my blog every Friday. Therefore, please make sure to check my blog every Friday not just for the printouts but also for important updates!

Happy Second Semester!
Ms. Wendy
