Homework Format and Requirements

Dear All,

Here are some important links for this semester's homework requirements. I would strongly recommend you to save/bookmark these links in your devices.

  • First, while all students will be writing in their communication books everyday, I will update all homework in this PowerPoint. Please note that the homework may be subject to change according to the school schedule. Nevertheless, if you are going to be absent, or would like to work ahead on your homework, you may refer to this PowerPoint and confirm with me via email (wendy@ljjhps.tp.edu.tw).
  • Second, I have created a sample vocabulary homework format that I'd like all students to follow this semester. There will generally be two kinds of vocabulary homework every week (unless stated otherwise). This homework format is also glued onto the first page of their homework books.
    • For HW A, the students must write the word 1x with its part of speech, definition 1x, and write 1 own sentence
    • For HW B, the students must write the word 3x, sample sentence 1x, AND do corrections with a blue pen for HW A. *Please take it seriously when you do corrections. Doing corrections is an effective way for you to review for your spelling quiz and ensure that you DO NOT make the same mistakes again in the future.*
  • Lastly, here is a sample essay homework format. Students will be writing an essay every Tuesday in their creative writing classes almost every week. Once I've corrected their essays, they will have to do corrections by following the format as shown in this PDF file.
Furthermore, I've put all three of these files into a Google Drive File for your convenience. One of my main goals this semester is for students to be proactive and responsible learners. I hope that each one of you will try your best to stay on track with your homework and put in your best effort. It is also one of my greatest joys to learn more about you by reading your sentences and essays! Again, let me know if you have any questions!

Warmest regards,
Ms. Wendy
