Week 19 Highlights

Howdy, everyone!

Happy New Years! It's officially 2020. Let's take a look at our first few highlights in 2020 😄 :

Fist, this week was review week so we didn't learn any material. There are two specific activities that we did for review together. First, we played Jeopardy together. While playing Jeopardy, I asked all students to take notes of class material they have forgotten. I would like to thank all students for being proactive and responsible learners. Second, we made flashcards together. Each students should have had a set of flashcards that they studied from. I hope that these review activities were helpful to all of you. Please let me know if you have any other fun and creative ways to study!

Second, our Lih-Jen Angel this week was Sarina. I've chosen her to be our Lih-Jen Angel because she is one of the students who has opened up the most this year. Even though she may seem a little shy or reserved at times, she strives to push out of her comfort zone. She is one of the most attentive students in class and tries her best to be an active participant. Thank you for your determination, Sarina! I'd also like to thank our wonderful speaker, Anne. Originally, Elaine and Anne were supposed to give the speech but Elaine didn't make it in time for the assembly so Anne had to improvise. Despite the unexpected circumstances, you were so brave and you did excellent, Anne! :)

Finally, here is our e-Printout for next week. From this point onward, I will no longer be handing out paper printouts. I will post the printout in my highlight blog posts every Friday, so please check my blog regularly.

I know that all of you have your Chinese Finals coming up so please study hard, eat well, and rest well! Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Happy 2020!
Ms. Wendy
